What to see in and around Dubbo?

Dubbo City is a city of many attractions. In fact, there is so much to see and do in Dubbo that you’ll leave with a list of ‘what to see next time’. There is something here for everyone!

Dubbo is best known for its world famous Taronga Western Plains Zoo, but the real surprise is that there are other very unique tourist attractions, open to the public and available all year round. Not to be missed are the Old Dubbo Goal (at night, if you dare…!) and admire the stunning Dundullimal Homestead – Australia’s Oldest Timberslab Homestead.

Dubbo is surrounded by beautiful nature reserves, including the spectacular Warrumbungle National Park and the internationally recognised Siding Spring Observatory, just two hours north west of Dubbo.

Also worth a visit, and less than 60 minutes east is the famous wine growing township of Mudgee, and historical Gulgong.

Our friendly staff is always happy to assist you when you’re looking for something to do in our beautiful city.
